Dear colleagues,

You are cordially invited to participate in the 5th Network Meeting of the UV4Plants Association, taking place from the 20. – 22. March 2024 (until 2 pm on Friday) in Goettingen, Germany. Registration will shortly be announced on the UV4Plants.org website. For early stage researchers, a training school will be organized before the meeting from the 18. – 19. March 2024 (9 am to 5 pm) - further details will be given via the UV4Plants.org website.

Conference topics

You are kindly invited to contribute to one of the topics, which are outlined below:

“Advances in UV photoreceptors”

“UV photoperception and photoprotection”

“Adaptation and acclimation to UV”

“Interaction of UV radiation and other environmental factors”

“Practical applications of UV radiation”

Contributions are planned to be keynote lectures of 25 min, short presentations of 15 min, including discussion, and posters with short pitches of 2 min. The language of the conference is English.

Networking and discussions

As during former network meetings, networking, and discussions with colleagues will be prioritised. We will organize scientific discussion panels scheduled within the programme and a welcome evening on the 20th of March. Furthermore, we will have a conference dinner on 21st of March to which everyone is invited.

Venue:

The conference will take place at the Tagungszentrum an der Sternwarte, Geismar Landstraße 11b, 37085 Goettingen, Germany. The training school will be conducted at the Department of Crop Sciences, Division Quality and Sensory of Plant Products, Georg-August-Universität Goettingen, Carl-Sprengel-Weg 1, D-37075 Goettingen.

Travel information:

Goettingen can be easily reached via car or train. Recommended airports are Hannover, Frankfurt (Main), or Hamburg with a need for additional travel.
